The deal gives Abundry the physical layer it needs to act on the grid — turning a system that understands energy into one that can also move it. This marks the first in a series of strategic moves designed to accelerate Abundry's mission: to unlock abundant energy, from a single site to entire regions.

Abundry launched last week in Ygne, Gotland, on a simple thesis: the next era of energy will not be defined by how much we build, but by how intelligently we run what already exists. More electricity and more infrastructure are not the answer. Better decisions are. Storage is one critical piece of that, but only one.

Europe's grid was built to push power in one direction, to passive consumers. Building a truly smart grid, one that communicates both ways and balances itself in real time, requires breaking a fundamental constraint: what gets produced still has to be used the moment it's produced. Until that link is broken, intelligence can advise the system but cannot move it.
